Sadie's Song

Sometimes suspense fiction can really keep you from doing even the things you know you should. Sadie's Song is that type of story.

It seems so ordinary at first as you watch a harried mother trying to deal with her children, and have supper ready for a husband who is hard to please. Before long you are putting clues together as fast as she does, suspecting her husband of being connected to the disappearance of another child in the community.

Your heart goes out to Sadie as she struggles with her place in the church, where she is not understood, and in her growing friendship with the mother of the missing girl.

There will be many Christian women who will see something of themselves in this novel. I hope they will not miss the directions for getting help as they see what happens to Sadie.

Don't keep this book to yourself. Pass it on. When it is returned, pass it on again. Keep it circulating! It may save a life or two. Or three.
