Three Updates

First, the Plant Sale... The man that came twice on Tuesday, came again on Wednesday and bought still more plants. But he was the only customer I had. Those sales made $39, plus I gave him some extra plants for taking the big ones.

On Saturday I called the girl that had helped me out for just about a week at the end of August, but she was busy taking a course in Child-care, and she called back to apologize and say that the course was going on longer than she'd thought.

So, I took a nap to strengthen my back and then moved the left over plants back inside the house. I used a brown 2-wheel cart (normally for bringing groceries to the house from the car) and made 4 trips from the front porch to the pantry at the back of the house where I have extra shelving.

Then I was wiped-OUT! (My back seems to gain weight as it is in more pain).

I'm hoping by tonight I'll have the stamina to water all the plants - which I could not do on Saturday.

Second, my back. I was able to see my chiropractor on Thursday, and her treatment on my back reduced the pain area from being intense and hot all over my back to an area about the size of my hand, to the right of my biggest spine hump.

My heating pad warms up the muscles so they relax somewhat, and a painkiller every 4 hours helps too.

I'm waiting for word from Dr. Kayla's office that an opening has come up for me to see her again this week.

I do feel a bit better every day, and have been able to sleep all through the night for the last three nights. But I still can only do the day's dishes by leaning with both forearms on the sink's edge.

Third, one subscriber has asked for the free eBook, and I sent her the link with the download instructions, but she called and asked me to walk her through them, which I did, but it still did now quite work for her, so I sent it to her as an attachment.

It has occurred to me that you might be more interested in this eBook if you could see the cover. (I'm sorry! I had meant to do up the sales page, which would have a big graphic of the cover, but I've just begun to do a little more in the way of my usual business duties since yesterday. I'll try to get that done soon).

Meantime, here's an image of the ebook for you.

Can You Freeze Your Cherry Tomatoes?

That's my problem at present. So I searched online and found some super simple remedies.

Freeze them! Wash and drop them into freezer bags. They won't be suitable for snacking as if they are candies when they thaw but they make perfect additions to stews and sauces throughout the winter.

Tomatoes may be frozen raw or cooked, whole, sliced, chopped, or puréed. Tomatoes do not need to be blanched before freezing. Frozen tomatoes are best used in cooked foods such as soups, sauces and stews as they become mushy when they're thawed.

Here, I was thinking I might have to stir all kinds of other things into the pot and make up dishes to freeze. Not so! I will just lean on the sink and wash as many as I can at one time, bag them and put them into the freezer.

The squash, pumpkins, etc., will keep longer, but if I need to, I believe I can freeze them on short notice too.
