Unless you live in a part of the world where the seasons are all the same, you may not understand how much we here in Canada get excited when the season changes from Winter to Spring!
We are often telling others of the signs of spring we have seen just yesterday or today. We start planning our gardens or flowerbeds - we know full-well that it is still too early to get started on those gardening and yard chores.
I got excited Sunday when I saw on the weather forecast that we were going to get three days sunshine and temp- ratures that are above ZERO, before we would get a few days of snow flurries and perhaps some rain or sleet.
Hey, three days of sunshine can melt away quite a lot of snow! Once the ground is exposed, the sun will warm up the ground, and green things will start to pop up!
That means spring will speed up the melting snows and the ground will be begging for raking and working at it.
In fact it doesn't take me much imagination to think that I see the odd green leaf showing on the trees outside my window.
I have plenty of deep-cleaning and down-sizing inside my house to get to, but I also look forward to spending about half-an-hour or even a whole hour each evening, clearing the garden and getting it ready to be tilled.
My muscles are still weak from the spine fractures I had from November to January. The bone pain has cleared up but putting my muscles to work will strengthen them and I'll be able - gradually - to spend more time on my feet and doing normal things.
So.... I thank God for the arrival of Spring!!
I trust you are glad to see it too!
Oh Friend! Despite all the evil and the huge natural disasters around the world, You and I are in a place of peace and quiet interaction.
How can that be? So many ask if God has gone missing.
Actually, Friend, I know that God is Great. I'm convinced He is very Good. He's also very Gentle, but has not lost His eternal grip on the world and every cell and grain of sand or dirt. God is still fully in charge, and answering those who call upon Him in faith.
All the signs indicate, the Bridegroom is coming to meet His Bride - any day, any hour now!
