My Friends are my RoseBouquet

Thanks Where Thanks are Due!

I want to thank those dear friends who have been checking on me, or writing to commiserate with me about some problems that came up. You are my priceless Roses in my Friendship's Garden!

Furthermore, I want to give the LORD, credit for seeing me through these tough times and teaching me many things. As we were reminded at a Prayer Seminar Video at church  this past Sunday evening.

Instead of always just quickly throwing up "Please Fix-it" prayers at every crisis, we need to stop and ask if it could be that our Heavenly Father is  trying to teach us something from the trials we are going through. Once that goal has been accomplished in us, He will gladly clear up the difficulties, and give us a stretch of smooth-sailing.

I do confess that I've learned a lot about praying in the last couple of months. Partly through the box of Prayer magazines that the woman from Church loaned me. I'm still learning as I read through them. But as I've applied some of these lessons to my daily praying and  interceding for others, I'm learning a few new principles for more effective praying.

<*> TIPS & SOLUTIONS: <*>

Tips for Better Kingdom-focused Prayers

* Pray that God's will be done - rather than our suggestions.

* Pray that God make sure He is glorified in His Answers.

* Ask for wisdom and insights before you pray. (They will come!)

* God allows us to go through a process to teach us principles -     even profound truths.

* So ask God how to pray for other individuals (don't assume you   have their needs all figured out.) Wait for His prompts!

* Pray more Scriptures! Psalms is full of them. Choose one or two    you can identify with, and personalize it in your own words.
