My Next Chapter re: Photo Story about Desks

This is yet to happen. There's been a delay. I didn't want to nag my niece about coming for this desk suite, but I've been getting somewhat inpatient to have it moved out and my old desk brought up from the basement.

I finally called Jalise on Saturday morning only to discover she was still in BC where she had run an electoral District for our Federal election a few weeks back. Turns out that she was staying there for some genetic testing.

A certain genetic problem runs in our family. It doesn't mean you get sick, but it is hereditary and it can lead to real physical problems in some cases. (This happens mostly to extra tall people who have a longer torso section than is normal.) Two of our cousins have it, (one has died while in surgery), and Jalise said her mom and her brother have been diagnosed with it, now she was being tested.

She was pretty sure her Dad had it, but he died some years ago. (He was 6'4"). It is thought my brother Tom also had it; but he was never tested. (He had a blood vessel that ran the length of his torso that burst).

Anyway, Jalise explained that her husband needed to fix up their truck a bit but then he would come with some buddies if she was not back home in Edmonton by then. I will see them one of these upcoming Saturdays.

So my focus has been on getting the garden ready, and I did finish weeding it last Saturday, but when I called my rotortiller man, he was away for the weekend. He called me yesterday to say he was back. But it rained on Sunday, and yesterday and is suppose to let up today. So Rob suggested we wait until Thursday and see if the garden has dried up enough by then.

The last number of years I've tried to seed my garden on Victoria Day, which was yesterday. But I can't quarrel with God when He chooses to bless with 3 days of rain.

Do Your Supplements Clash?

If you take quite a few supplements for your health- as I do you may be interested to know that some of them need to be spaced so you don't take them together. They clash with certain other supplements.

There are 5 we should not pair/take together.

Vitamin C and the B12 vitamin should be taken 2 hours apart. C will cancel the effects of the B12, which is more sensitive.

Calcium and magnesium need to be spaced apart too. Reason: gentle magnesium gets walked on by calcium, which undoes what each of them tries to accomplish.

The minerals zinc and copper do not go well together. Zinc will block out the effects of more stable copper.

Green tea and iron need to be separated too. Tanins in the tea will bind to the iron and block the positive effects that was suppose to have.

Vitamin D & Vitamin K need to be kept apart too, or taken with healthy fats, or else they cancel out each other.
