Yes, spring is here, which means I have just managed to rake the front yard and I swept the shingle path beside my house last night, and still had time to work on 2 more projects when I got in before 8 pm.
I'm hoping to clean up the garden this week enough so that the neighbour with the rotortiller can come freshen up the garden soil.
I'm still waiting for my niece and her husband to come for my sister's office suite of desks. I rather expect they'll show up this Saturday, but I've packed up the stuff from in and on the desks, and just need to remove some boxes from the ones under the front window. They should be able to waltz these pieces out to their truck in great time.
If they don't stay around long enough to bring up my old desk units from the basement, I'll have to round up some strong men friends to come bring them up. Then I'll need to start unpacking some my bins.
Oh yes! I'm still planning to check out the business and marketing ideas I learned during Easter week from those online conference videos. But I'm trying to avoid setting dates.
No point in putting on too much pressure.
It occurred to me that you may never have observed someone claiming God' promises in prayer, and you might appreciate an example.
So here are a few paragraphs from this morning's prayer time in which I claim God's precious Promises.
Thank You that YOUR LIGHT shines for me, even in darker times. Your GOOD comes to me as I live in generosity, and lend freely, and conduct my affairs with justice. So I have no fear of bad news; my heart is steadfast, trusting in YOU dear LORD! (Psa. 112:5&7)
YOU, LORD JESUS, are my Witness, Advocate & Intercessor/Friend, pleading my case before the FATHER in HEAVEN! And I have Your promise that I shall end up in Heaven too! WOW!! Thank YOU! (Job 16:19-22)
For sure-- I know that YOU can do all things; no plan of Yours can be thwarted! (Job 42:2)
I am also grateful for how YOU have brought me to this time and place in my life, where I enjoy YOUR company all day long, but especially in these mornings, and I see that YOU are providing for me so generously and I see that YOU intend to grant me even more as I learn how to sell online in earnest. So surely, YOU will help me with my daily routines and agendas, and also to discern and use the best methods for the works YOU have planned for me to do. (Psa. 16:5-6)
Thank YOU also for the Victory YOU give me and how YOU sustain me with YOUR right hand, and stoop to make me great, and YOU broaden the path beneath my feet. Your boundaries for me have fallen into pleasant places and I rejoice in a delightful inheritance from YOU! (Psa. 18:35-36)
OH dear DEAR LORD JESUS, YOU shield me, hold me up, stoop to make me great, and broaden the path beneath me, so my ankles don't even turn or get twisted. Wonderful!
Yes, truly, YOU are the LORD my GOD who holds my hand and says to me, "Do no fear; I will help you." (Isa. 41:13)
