Yes, the garden is much on my mind these days. I'm tempted to watch YouTube videos and have learned a lot about growing a lot larger crops of watermelon, zucchini, etc.
Also how to grow luscious strawberries in hanging bottles! (I've got lots of those plastic jugs from an aloe vera juice).
I've seen how to plant an apple to get an apple tree!!! (even found some already-sprouted seeds in some apples I ate last week!)
Another idea is to sow seedlings in plastic beer cups, one with holes in the bottom, placed inside another one so the roots draw up water from the lower cup. In just a few weeks you can plant extra large plants that are already in bloom or bearing fruit! So I want to start some of those tonight right after supper.

As I mentioned last week, I'm preparing seed packets for the gals at the chiropractor's office. I've saved so many seeds I can't use them all up myself. So if you write and ask, I'll be glad to mail you a small brown envelope full of seeds.
What's your preference?
French Marigolds - that bloom all summer! red/yellow/orange - assorted colours. Keep bad bugs away. Draw bees!
Zinnias - about knee-high or more, with some flowers as big as a saucer. Assorted colours. (need to sow again/yr.)
Hollyhocks - only grows about 12" the first year, then in the 2nd year grows to 6-8' tall and produce quite a few flowers! After that they come up yearly. (pinks, rosy, and even some black satin)
green onions - fill up areas where nothing else wants to grow! (no big bulbs, but lots of greenery!
I mailed some to a friend in Scotland a couple of weeks ago, and was told at the post office, it would take 6 weeks to get there. Ha! They were there by the end of the same week!
