Eekk! Kmail Gone Beserk!

Yes, I do have techie problems this week, to upset n' depress me. On Sunday evening, while checking emails, something weird happened; when I saw something odd in the settings, I deleted that, and checking the other emails, found and deleted the same thing.

After that things went downhill fast! I kept getting popups saying that this email, then that one, could not find the mail server. I tried this and that (now I can't recall what all), but nothing solved the problem.

I was exhausted so decided to wait until yesterday morning and try again. I ended up deleting my whole KMail program and downloading and installing it afresh.

Oddly enough it seemed to remember some settings from before, and so the popups continued. In fact they got worse, and some parts of KMail were missing!

I'm able to go to each website domain, login and go check the emails there, but the emails arriving on Saturday and Sunday which I still intended to answer are gone!

I'm trying not to panic and to pray earnestly about this but so far I don't have a resolution. Mostly, I'm trying to be sure I don't take too-drastic steps, which will only make it all worse. But this crisis is definitely stealing my usual agenda from me.

However, I recall that God has answered prayer about such a crisis before, and solutions came - sometimes out of the blue, and sometimes as a result of hard research and work.

You may know from your own experiences, the important thing is to not let fears terrify and immobilize you.

Yes, I can still read your emails and reply, but it will take more steps. In KMail they all showed up on my computer and I could deal with them one after another lickety-split. Also save them immediately as plain text files.
