I've been so frustrated this month because WorldRemit, a money transfer company was not accepting my new credit card or letting me enter the changes. This was quite upsetting since I have been supporting some people in third-world countries for some years, but emails and calls to their support department weren't getting through to any human being.
I decided as a final resort, to write a letter to the Top head of the company in Toronto, spelling out my problems and how my emails were just responded to with an autoresponse email telling me to see their FAQ pages on their site. I'd been over them countless times but there was NO answer for my dilemma! I wanted human interaction!
Just now, minutes ago, a woman called from there to respond to my letter. She was quite understanding, and promised to put my correct phone numbers in (tho' the cell # is not working right now), and when I've talked with my credit card people, I'm to reply to her email with the case number she provided.
She saw that I had been a member since 2016 and they really want to keep me as a member.
So just now I'm grateful to God for helping me to see the value of a letter. I read once, years ago, that if you need to talk to someone, a written message will get passed up to a higher and a higher level until finally that person realizes that the Buck stops here. They have to respond!
That works! (It has taken about 10 days to get this response).
Just in case you missed it up at the top, when you know you are going to work in the garden, whether it is dry, loose dirt, or if it is wet and muddy it is smart to learn early on, NOT to wear your best dress shoes in the garden.
No, not even your newest white runners! You will be sorry!
Years ago someone gave me a pair of rubber clogs. They are a bit loose on my feet, but then I can wear an extra pair of socks on top of another older pair. I leave them in the back porch, but when I am going to work outside, I step into the heavy-duty clogs (barefoot or in socks, doesn't matter), and off I go. On coming back in, I step into my indoor slippers in just a second, and don't have to worry about cleaning shoes to come in.
Mind you, now when I'm making the freshly tilled garden, I find dirt gets in through the socks, so it is also smart to wash my feet before going to bed. When I've tread down the dirt between the rows, it won't be quite so much of a problem any more.
