These 8 weeks of dealing with a spine fracture can seem ever so long, but tomorrow I'm half way through this set of 8 weeks. 4 weeks to go.
I have less constant pain, and was able to drive all by myself to my chiropractor appointment last Friday. (I did not have the oomph left to do any shopping after that, but was satisfied with what I accomplished.)
Another model order came through - from Tennessee, and I was able to get it ready and shipped in 7 days. Whoopee!
Now, I guess I have to call this next one a negative - for the winter snows make it harder to drive, and it is hard to find the warmest mitts or gloves. (I will root through a bin of them in the basement before I'm out again!)
There is also the wading through a couple of inches of snow on the garden path when I don't have the oomph to shovel the snow off. But I will soon!
Definitely a minus about the winter weather is that more mice are coming into my house.
I heard a teaspoon move in the kitchen, rushed to see - a mouse dashing away and behind the fridge.
On Saturday I finally got the vacuum out and got that job done after 3-4 Saturdays when it was too much for me. As I vacuumed near the back door - a mouse darted out from behind a box I'd set to collect garbage. It darted out - not sure which way to go; I was surprised enough to lose control of the hose for a moment - suddenly the mousie was slurped up the hose!!
It's too cold to empty the bucket in the garden in winter, so I put it down the toilet bowl. That went so quick! I straightened up: "Well, mousie, if you are still alive you have lots of tunnels and rivers of sewer to cross now!"
Yesterday, I saw a mouse on my desk here looking at some cables at the back of my computer box! He/she took off when I yelled out in alarm!!
I should add that I've run out of mouse traps, but ordered some sonic ones which should arrive any day now. Apparently mice/rats and insects will run away in droves, anxious to get away from that sonic sound only they can hear. (I hope it arrives today!) It is not fun to clean up their dead bodies.
