Last week I mentioned that I noticed a great improvement in my garden once I started watering regularly with a sprinkler attachment to the garden hose.
I've taken some photos and will share a few for a quick garden tour. More photos are likely to come at the end of summer. But I know that some of you look forward to these glimpses into my garden.
I've just discovered that where I send out these RoseBouquet emails does allow me to insert photos even though it is in fact, a text-only format.
If it happens that these five photos don't show up in your email program, please go to the online edition within about an hour after I send this email edition out. That link is; The RoseBouquet - web edition
(If you are reading that after next week's issue goes out you can still find a link on the archives' page (link is just under the Welcome Friends banner, then look under At My Place for the link to the article with the title,"A Quick Garden Tour."
My purple irises were the first to bloom in spring.
These white/mauve irises bloomed a little later. They were my Mom's back in Hague, and I brought them with me. Well, back then they were only 8 or 9 bulbs, but now there are about 40! Yes, they multiplied!
These are shorter hollyhocks (I wonder if not enough water keeps them shorter than usual?) One day-lily has got into this photo too.
These are taller hollyhocks (after more watering). They usually get as tall as the fence - or more.
This is the edge of my raspberry hedge this year; there is an abundance of raspberries, both red and yellow! The red ones are jumbo-sized! I've eaten a few - and look forward to more. Also to sharing!
These are a surprise to me. Are they a weed? I've never seen them before, but they popped up after the daisies gave up and laid down. Any ideas?
Okay. I hope you enjoy these photos too.
Now I better hustle along as this always takes longer when I'm inserting photos.
