My Friends are my RoseBouquet

At My Place: New Driving Rules - Mess up Seniors?

If you are watching the news on TV or even in You Tube videos, you are seeing some truly scary new things.

It may be milder in Canada, with smaller issues - for seniors especially as driving rules are changing almost daily, Also, we are going to have to have eye exams, medical tests, refresher courses on how to drive, and so on.

I just saw a headline: "Parking rules are changing!" What? It is hard to keep up with all these brand new announcements that will almost make us, the seniors especially, afraid to get behind the wheel.

I do appreciate my independence when I can be at wheel and take myself where I need to go, when I am ready to go. I sincerely hope I can keep up with the new rules and shape up to meet the new conditions.

I believe I have an eye appointment coming up soon. But I think I shall pass that test well enough. But to remember all the new rules may become tricky. I'll have to prepare myself a checklist and tape it to the Dashboard, so I can check with a glance.

How about you, does all this make you nervous too?

I do believe I can count on the Lord to give me the ability to keep up with the changes, but if not - Well, then I trust He will also provide alternatives for me.

I hope you also have such reassurance.
