(Sigh!) Yes, I'm still working on my income tax numbers. i have made some progress, but the dread deadline is only three days away now. I sincerely hope I can get my part done today - or at worst tomorrow.
Then I want to go find an accountant who can double- check my math and make sure I've filled the blanks all correctly.
Besides that, last night I came across 3 YouTube videos that insist that there are "5 Missing Documents that can cost Canadian Homeowners $200,000." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYJ-7U8JibY
Another one has the title: "EXPOSED: $2,000 Tax if You Don't Declare Your Home in 2026." (WHOA!!!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D49Hag2sULQ
A 3rd one is: "CRA is Putting Liens on Canadian Homes - No Lawsuit, No Warning." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAmtto-DYsE
So I'm hoping to find official answers to this too! I need to find someone who can explain these matters plainly to me. Perhaps the accountant I want to see, or ... if necessary, my cousin's husband who is a lawyer, tho' I understand he is super busy these days.
Are you in a similar position? Or have you got it all done long ago? God bless you for that!
