My Friends are my RoseBouquet

Learning from Trivia Videos

Have you come across one of these videos on YouTube which will show you 12 (or any other number) ways YOU are smarter than you think?

Well, I fell for one a few days ago and was excited to discover that I had 7 of those 12 signs. Now, when I wanted to find it again, I discover there are no less than 21 such videos that come up at such a search! Wow! Now I feel somewhat cheated, - or in fact, tricked! Obviously, not so smart as I thought.

Oh-well, how about if I share the signs I feel I can identify with, and you can let me know how many of these you also feel are part of your personality.

1. Idea Generation. I prefer or am comfortable being alone, for that is often when I have my best ideas!

2. Good Recall/Memory. I do forget some details, or names will jump off my tongue as I'm about to say them, yet, I can recall vividly scenes from my childhood or people that I have met and known in the past. If you trigger a memory I can give you far more details about that than you care to hear!

3. Power of daydreaming. Oh yes! I have big novels in my head that I have not got down on paper or computer yet!

4. Emotional Tunnel. Understand my emotions, and others' which helps in problem-solving.

5. Understand Ambiguous Details. Meaning, I understand obscure details because I've read about that somewhere before.

6. Imagination on Over-drive! Yes, that's me!

7. Cluttered work-space is okay, because my mind is used to lots of ideas and projects, topics filling my head/attention. Hey, sometimes they inspire new, bigger, better ideas!

8. See a benefit in doing nothing. Opportunity to think!!

9. Absolute concentration; when I must. Just apply will-power.

10. Sometimes Panic - because I can visualize all kinds of possibilities at once! (Need time to sort and throw some out).

The first video I watched this morning included things like, being the oldest child in a family, and learning to read quite early. Those are true for me too, but I'd give them lower credence. There is evidence of the youngest born having an IQ of 138.(Mind you, these videos stress that these signs are outside of psychology and IQ tests.)

The first 10 are true for me, even if I'm curled up on the recliner, trying to cope with my back pain. So they must be true for me.

How about you? Do you see any of these signs in your life?

Does this please or frustrate you?
