I admit it, the steep learning curve I've spent on how to prepare government documents just to ship a parcel to the USA has been discouraging the last two weeks.
I took off this past Saturday to deal with my domestic duties, and just avoid looking at those complicated pages of info. On Sunday of course, I was in ESL and church in the morning, did some shopping on the way home and then allowed myself a nap and my longer prayer time in the evening.
I know the gov't offices are closed on the weekend. So are some businesses. So I took the weekend to recuperate.
A man, Mickie, who cleaned my eaves troughs last year, came by Sunday to ask if I'd like him to do that again. I agreed, but didn't expect him to come back as the sun was setting. But he managed to get it done.
I asked if he did carpentry work too, as there was a board/plank under the eaves on the west side that seemed to be loose on one side, if it didn't fall away, it was sure an opening that mice would be attracted to. So he was back yesterday to fix that for me.
But he's also a talkative fellow, so I didn't get very far with my review of my progress and as of yet, unanswered shipping questions. But I felt like I have made good progress last night.
Last week I had downloaded some PDF documents that ChitChats offered, but I hadn't read them. In doing that last night a number of questions seemed to have answers.
I saw that I can also ask for an on-boarding phone appointment. Which I hope to get today. Then I may be able to move ahead and complete the work.
At least now I visualize the steps becoming quite routine in the future.
