Isn't it amazing how fast our bills can stack up for us? I'm referring to when surprises are sprung on us. I had such a week just last week.
I had a plumber come on Wednesday to replace the taps for my bathroom sink and the kitchen sink. Because this an old house, built in 1926, he had to hunt hard for the taps that would work in my sinks.
On Thursday about noon I went to dash to the post office to mail a parcel. But when I backed out of my tent garage my tires seemed almost stuck to the gravel. As I was locking the gate a woman pulled up behind me and called out that I had a flat tire. Sure enough!
So I decided to head first to Atomic Auto get that fixed. But as I turned onto Ave. I north, the tires felt as if they didn't want to roll. I pulled to the right side of the street and got out to look. Sure enough 3 of the tires were flat.
Well, I called the CAA, but my membership had expired, so I paid it up and waited for their service truck, that man tested the air, and with that all the air escaped! (He pointed out the slash marks on the 3 tires.)
So I had to call the CAA tow truck.
Almost 2 hours later I had 4 brand new tires on the car!
Back from the post office, I waited for the man with the appointment to do the annual filter check on my drinking water system. Again, I had to pull out my credit card.
Each of these cost me some hundreds of dollars. When I paid up my credit card yesterday I'd racked up over $1000 in just one week!
Thankfully the LORD had seen to it that there was enough in my account to cover all that.
That was one Expensive week!
