Welcome Friends

At My Place: My Improved Health Status

Well, the results I got last Tuesday afternoon were not so very profound. The doctor that called me said that the first blood work showed some problem with my pancreas, but from what I was describing those symptoms had cleared up. She thought I should have that test run again to make sure it was cleared up.

However, she has yet to upload the Requisition form that I would have to take to the lab. So I've decided not to worry about it.

I've been feeling fine the last three weeks, and really do not have any symptoms that I feel need attention.

The only changes I still carry on, are to try to get in an afternoon nap of at least an hour, and not to be on my feet too long at one time. I've become more of a short-order cook in the kitchen.

As I mentioned last week, we had a super-duper snow storm the weekend before this last one, and I didn't even try to go out. (I could watch our church service LIVE online).

By the past weekend the temperatures were above 0 and snow melted all around us. The streets were slushy and wet as vehicles sprayed each other with every passing! I ended up going out to church in the morning for our ESL class and the worship service, then again in the afternoon for a monthly prayer meeting for the ESL helpers in a home. And once more within the half hour of getting home, back to our church for the start of a video series on prayer.

I survived all that, but when I got home I was hungry and had a quick potato salad supper, and then fell asleep with my face on my knees before I made it to bed. I woke about midnight and quickly went through my bedtime routines.

I rejoice in a positive attitude, finding that my faith in my prayer-answering God is high. I also try to slip in some of my Extra projects into my day - whenever I can.

I wish this kind of improved health status for you as well!

What's New: Bits of News That Cheer Me UP!s

1. Waiting for that camera battery the last couple of weeks gave me extra time to research and try to write up a marketing plan. That last part is not finished yet, but I did make some progress.

2. Then yesterday that camera battery arrived about noon. In the evening I took about 103 photos of the next batch of models I want to prepare for the Diecastmodels-inheritance.com site.

3. The camera was taking nice, bright/clear photos but I was stumped a while when I wanted to transfer them to this desktop so I could crop/polish and resize and name the photos. I tried on this other computer; it wouldn't show up there either. Back to this one. Then while I was whispering a desperate prayer, - it came to me. This red Sony expects me to turn it on to make the connecting cable come alive. Presto! That did it!

4. I was able to polish up 14 photos, but expect it to take all of tonight and tomorrow night to get the rest done. Maybe even part of next week.

Once I've researched each one and written up a sales page for each, and added the photos I should have about 30-40 models to add to the website, which already has about 200 for sale.

Marketing will have to go back to my Thursday evening agenda. Besides many categories of the models to sell, I want to sell my ebooks on genealogy, devotional Bible studies, my novel, and eventually one on caring for our parents and grandparents.

It may take a couple of months to get the marketing plan in motion, but if I do it right, some steps should be "set and forget" - or check on at regular intervals.

One more: I got an email yesterday from a 2nd cousin who has been a career missionary - first in France, where she met her husband (born in Scotland). They have worked at the head office of their mission organization in England for a number of years, but are retiring now to Scotland. However, they want to come to Canada this April & May to visit their supporters one more time before they fully retire.

This cousin asked if it would be okay if they come to visit me the morning of May 8th. Oh! That's a Tuesday morning - my RoseBouquet morning, but I quickly decided that I can write it the day before and just quickly post it to my website and send out by email in a matter of minutes. I wrote, "Sure! I'll be glad to see you!"

Say, when did you last get a snowstorm of blessings?!

<*> TIPS & SOLUTIONS: <*>

Ever Tried Castor Oil?

My Dad used to joke about giving someone castor oil to solve a problem. I didn't take it seriously. But last night I saw a YouTube video where this comes highly recommended! Have you ever tried castor oil as a remedy?

My sister Elsie mentioned it when we talked on her birthday, and yesterday I came across a YouTube video where a lovely woman was excited about how Castor oil has cleared her skin, and helped her lose weight, and a number of other things. I've closed that tab and can recall the title well enough to find it quickly, but there are many other videos about this topic.

My SHOCKING Castor Oil Results After 30 Days .

My curiosity is aroused, but I think I'll keep checking this out yet for a while.

Thought I'd ask, if you have first-person experience with this home remedy, do let me know if it helped you in any way.
