I had problems with my sewer backing up on the floor in the basement on Saturday. I'd had a bath first, and then did a load of laundry. When I went down to hang up those items, I found the tiles around the sewer opening in the floor were at least an inch under water!! And Yuck!!
I was invited out for lunch on Saturday, and Sunday was a busy day at church, so when I got home late in the afternoon, I only wanted a nap.
But yesterday I called Roto Rooter to come deal with the backup. I was told their day was full but a man would come out today to deal with it.
He was here about 9:30 am and after about half an hour of pulling his noisy, vibrating cable in and out of a certain hole, he tidied up and carried his equipment out to his van. He asked for a check for $173.13. That seemed fair. (Especially since that was a job I could NOT do.)
I asked about removing tree roots in the pipe under my lawn in the summer. He agreed that would be a good idea, but fall would be better. So I must now keep in mind to find out how to get that done some months from now.
I went through all this back in 2007 when I first moved into this place, so I have a rough idea of what to expect. I wish there was some way to make sure the roots can NOT grow into and all through the sewer line. Otherwise that happens over and over again every few years.
It may also mean cutting down another tree along the east-side fence in the front.
Do you watch YouTube videos? But perhaps you stick to just certain categories, right?
That's perfectly okay, if you have a narrow field where you want to keep informed and follow people you trust. But at some times it is beneficial to explore some other categories. Especially if you are looking for how-to information in the field of online businesses or money- making.
(And yes, this is a place to be discerning and wise!)
I have found that the YouTube videos by Gillian Perkins are quite helpful. I like her good-sense manner, that she is a Christian, and she and her childhood sweetheart husband have five children. She believes in being there for the kids, so she has worked out a business plan that only takes a few hours every morning. Then she is free to home-school her kids in the afternoon and to spend quality time with them.
I do not feel AI (Artificial Intelligence) is a good idea, so I hold back on that part, but do respect her advice for other aspects of online businesses. She has been doing this for many years, and shows wisdom and good sense.
If you would like to check her out, just go to YouTube and do a search for Gillian Perkins. I think you'll soon think of her as a good friend with helpful and easy-to-understand advice on online businesses.
Gillian has been making 6-figure incomes for several years! Much of that through her courses offered online. Her new plan is to make 1 million this year!
