This last week I was trying hard to work with the idea that I could set up two Root Categories in Ecwid and run them as separate stores on different websites. But I dicovered that I was only allowed one main Store-front page for all my categories. This meant that as I tried to add diecast models they appeared on that store-front page I had already created for five ebooks on the genealogy website. soon the ebooks disappeared off the bottom of that page.
I checked with Support to make sure I had not misunderstood how this was to work. After some back and forth I decided to split this account into two separate ones.
I had already prepared a separate sales page for almost 100 models, complete with photos and a good description. (Actually, I did about 205 or 215 the first time around, but I have to find that file and re-build those pages.) So... I think my main goal in the new year will be to get all these models hooked up to the Ecwid shopping card and "Buy Now" buttons so they can start selling. Then, I'll get back to more boxes full of models to prepare from step 1.
There are a number of started devotional ebooks on my computer but they need to be checked over and edited and probably proof-read too. I think that will become a major thrust in the new year.
You may get tired of hearing of these eCommerce ventures of mine. :)
P.S. Once more, let me wish you a Merry & Blessed Christmas, and a very Happy and Productive New Year in 2023!
Watch for the next RoseBouquet on January 3rd.
Do you have mice sneaking into your house looking for a warm place in this cold COLD winter? I do, and they are getting bolder all the time.
This morning I recalled that I'd read that mice cannot stand the scent of mint or peppermint.
I already have set out stainless steel bowls of water in front of my large furnace registers in 3 rooms, plus also on the other side of the same walls so that two rooms can benefit together. With the furnace roaring up so often throughout the night and day, the air in my house is quite dry. My nostrils often feel dried right out. So, as I did last year, I put out those bowels of water which can evaporate into the rooms as the heat waves blow over them.
But this morning I took a little brown bottle of peppermint essence (intended for baking, etc.) and I dribbled a few drops into each of those bowls of water. Now my house smells of peppermint!
(I sure hope it is true that the mice hate that scent).
