Yes, I've had the glasses I'm wearing, the ones on my face at the moment, since 2017 after my cataract surgeries. So they are more than seven years old.
(I've had glasses since I was 10, so I don't feel dressed until my glasses are riding on my nose.)
The only complaint I have is that it's been getting harder to read fine print. I keep magnifying glasses in every room; the kitchen, the bathroom, bedroom, etc., so when I can't clearly make out smaller print I quickly snatch up the handle of a magnifier to check it out.
I was told that it is not possible to have a cataract surgery done all over again, so I went to see my optometrist last week, had my eyes checked, and got a new prescription.
I also sat down with a cheerful young woman to try on about a dozen frames and finally picked one. I was told I'd get a call in about two weeks when they were ready for me to pick up.
Guess what! I got that call this morning! So I've promised to pick them up this afternoon. I mentioned the two week wait. The woman on the phone said, "Well, sometimes it goes faster."
