I mentioned recently that I've been working on shipping options, rules, costs, etc., for the diecast models I'm to sell for my brother, Tom. After about three weeks of research and trying to figure out how to offer the best options at the best prices to my customers - I think I've arrived at the right plan.
So I ordered two of the smallest sizes of cartons from Uline on Saturday, and they are to arrive here at my door today! Maybe even this morning!
As soon as I can I want to try out my idea of putting 2 or 3 of the small farm machinery models into one box. If that works, I will put up the page I wrote last night, describing these options so that if the customer follows my suggestion they only need to pay for the shipping of one model;the second and third can ride for free on the shipping cost of the first one.
Of course, this means that I am more likely to have customers order several models at once!
I'll need to add a bit more info on each product page, and a link to the Shipping n' Payments page so they can understand my short-codes for the shipping options.
I also need to upgrade my package with Ecwid to get some of these advantages, but then I hope that the sales will start to come flowing in!
Lately, I've been telling friends that they can still go see my photos of Ellie, the Elegant Elephant, in the Archives of past issues of the RoseBouquet.
I discovered to my shock last week that I had skipped putting some issues into the archives. I knew that the archives-index page was getting very long with three years worth of links to previous issues, with one link going to the first article, and the second to the What's New article, and I included the Tips & Solutions on that same page as a surprise treat.
But with all my fussing over getting used to the DADAmail system, I had failed to put the online version of some older issues into the archives.
I worked at it all afternoon last Tuesday, but didn't get quite finished. I hope to get this done today in about half an hour or less.
You will find that the link to the Archives-index.shtml only has links to six new archives issues - separated by the years from 2021, 2022, and 2023. But these are separated into the folders for "my-place" articles, and "news-ts" for long- range orderliness.
But to keep it simple, start from the old archives index page.
Or if you want to read the most current issue - head to the rb Index page
