In my Christmas letter I mention that the previous owner of the Echo gave me a thank you note with cash in it to have the car detail-cleaned. I thought I might just try that.
But checking online it turns out that the prices for a full-day with a team of workers cleaning every nook and cranny of a car vary and can be quite high.
After taking mail to the post office and depositing the cash from the sale of Black Beauty, I dropped in on a place just 2 blocks from my house which indicated they do Detailing there.
Turns out it is run by a Philipino family; the men do mechanical work, and they sell used cars, while there were 4 young women who do the detail cleaning. They urged me to bring my car in the next day at 9:30 and they would give it a thorough cleaning.
When they called later in the afternoon I walked the 2 blocks, and went to see what they had done. Wow! Double-Wow! It shone as if it had just rolled off the assembly line when it was born! The young women proudly took me around to see all the sparking spots under the hood, in the trunk, and inside the car - all over! I didn't mind paying for it, although I knew that it was not going to look quite so grand for long. My car is parked in a tent/garage, and there is a lot of traffic in the alley behind my gate, so my black limo was always dusty there.
Sure enough, Saturday when I went to reload my personal stuff, and to take some photos, it was dusty all over the trunk and left side. I'm going to have to take it to the car wash and take photos there before I get into traffic!
However, I know that this may well be the only time I ever pay to have this much work put into such a spa beauty treatment for my little Echo.
I can show you where you can listen to it all day and night - every day in the month of December!
My TOP favourite online Christian radio station is found at https://bbn1.BBNradio.org/english/ I turn it on as soon as I'm dressed, and keep it on all day until I'm ready to go to bed.
They have conservative Christian music 24/7, but also Childrens' programs, dramas like Unshackled, Christian Classics, and life stories of famous Christians in the past. They broadcast on AM/FM stations in the USA, but can be heard around the world in 8 languages. (I prefer English).
I recall I was still awake on December 1st, a minute or so after 12 midnight, when suddenly the first Christmas carol was played. I broke into a grin; "YES, it's December now!"
P.S. Remember! No RoseBouquet issue next Tuesday! I'll be back in your Inbox on January 2nd.
