My Christmas Mail Project

You may recall that I've written here before that my main prep for Christmas involves a long Christmas letter with photos, etc. and sometimes adding my personal notes, draws the process out so that it takes me several weeks.

I got the main general Christmas letter drafted on Sunday night, but the real work started last night, when I gave up my business hours to work at getting the letters ready that go to those who have no emails so I must send them by snail mail.

I skipped the making of Christmas cards the last year or two, however, when I learned the ESL class is to sing "Let's Talk About Jesus" this next Sunday morning, I recalled that when we did that a few years ago, I had made up a lovely tri-fold card with fancy font and appropriate illustrations. I've decided to print that card and tuck it in with my letters.

I got considerable editing and printing done last night, so I trust that tonight I'll be able to make great progress and soon have a heap of snail mail ready to answer.

Since you have an email address, I'm more likely to send it to you by that means. Although sometimes I hesitate, fearing that people will think I'm imposing on them. So a quick note to say you'll be glad to get my Christmas letter and tri-fold card, so it shall be!

P.S. By the way, I have one my older websites for sale; it is only posted in the SBI forums, as that is where the interest may be the best. However, if you are interested in taking on an affiliate website, and willing to learn some business skills you may just want to buy that.

I haven't named a price, but I've paid over $400 every January since 2008, to keep it up on the SBI system. It could be operated for around $20/year if you hosted it with me on my own hosting package. If you are interested let me know and we can discuss it further.

No RoseBouquet Issue on Boxing Day

I believe I've hinted plainly that I look forward to making the the last week of December my Prayer & Planning week. I can't recall when I began this practice but it may have begun in 2007 when I first lived alone - there in Saskatoon.

Since I don't go off on a Christmas trip to join relatives, etc., but I do want and need some extended quiet time to pray and to think carefully about my real goals and values and how to arrange my daily/weekly schedules so that I get some quality time set aside for the things that I can determine from the prompting of the Holy Spirit are to be my main priorities for the new year.

This "last week of December" has become very special to me. I get quite excited for the new year and very enthused about my fresh goals and purposes and the sense of God's leading. If He says to let some things go... I try to obey in that too.

It is safe to think that the RoseBouquet will continue, but I do hope to try to get more subscribers.

Ah, if you want to give me a great gift - how about persuading a friend or relative of YOURS to subscribe. The link to send them to is just above this section, but I'll repeat it here: Subscribe to RoseBouquet

There will be one more regular issue next Tuesday, then wait for the next one on January 2nd, 2024.
