Never heard of tailbone troubles? Neither had I. But last week my tailbone started to hurt just bout any time, or anywhere I sat down. I've sort of concluded that the cartilage tip has bent inward, but am still wondering if it's caused by bad posture, or if my now high-protein diet (thanks to all the food my siblings brought me), has my bowels going sluggish and pressing on the tailbone section.
If I take a painkiller it eases up...so I don't think it is a fracture, but sure uncomfortable. I'll see what my chiropractor says next week.
Elsie gave me a jar of Calendula oil she'd made and advised me to have 2 tablespoons full each day. I have found the oil too oily, but decided to start with just one spoonful in half a glass of juice. I can handle that, and it seems to clear the bowels, which eases the tailbone pain, so maybe that is the main cause. (ie. heavy meat & legumes diet.)
But I'd never heard of this kind of pain before. Have you?
Some years ago someone gave me an African Violet plant, but it never bloomed; I thought I just didn't know enough about caring for such plants.
However, this winter I had it in the front window facing north, close to this desk. It has taken to blooming like crazy. The violets look great, and even the leaves are a rich velvety dark green.
So I've been looking up how to go about making more from this plant. Seems it is quite easy.
.............>Cut a leaf at a 45 degree angle at the stem
Dip it into a growing solution (powder?)
Then slip into a small cup/container with growing medium
or even just airy but rich soil.

Maybe I'll soon have more than enough for all my window sills. I may even have another plant sale.
One evening last week I was sitting on my stool and pulling up weeds in my front flowerbeds. A couple stopped on the sidewalk to chat and tell me how much they admired seeing all my flowers.
I was a bit surprised as I thought my biggest and best flowers are out in the garden in the back, and I'm not sure how they get to see them.
However, we got to chatting and the woman asked me when I was having my next plant sale.
I explained that I usually do that in the fall after the garden work is finished but before the first night- time frost as that kills my plants in the front porch.
Next she was curious about my aloe vera and was eager to buy one. So I invited them in to see what I have in the pantry. When I pointed out that one yogurt tub had 3 or 4 fairly big ones and they should be trans- planted into bigger pots. She held out $20 and asked to buy that pot full. Okay.
The man showed me his leg, from the knee down to his ankle was a very ugly rash with open wounds all over.
I assured them aloe vera gel spread on that would heal it up and told them stories how my Dad was healed several times by my aloe vera plants.
We all felt rather excited!
