A dear friend and prayer sister is coming by for a visit this afternoon. We want to celebrate something together.
But also, she has promised to help me figure out my cell phone.
Happily, I can report that I stumbled into some helps on my own recently, so yesterday I was able to scan a QR code on my desktop screen with my phone and in seconds I had the code to login to the site had has plagued me for more than a month!
I have resigned myself to the new need to keep my cell phone turned on and lying handy during the day so that if I run into such a problem again, I don't have to wait for the phone to boot up and turn on first.
But this also means to stay on guard for charging it up. I used to have it turned off and in a fancy fabric pouch in my purse - sometimes for weeks on end without using it! Now I have to remember to recharge it daily!
I'm looking forward to the private lesson with the friend coming by this afternoon. That should help!
One thing I've noticed is that I may need new glasses for I find it hard to read small white letters on a very pale blue background. I have to pick up a magnifying glass to make out the choices there.
That's why I like my large desktop monitor - I make sure my fonts are large enough to be easy reading for me. No need to squint.
On the weekend I spent some time searching for a more secure contact form for our websites so that the spam and ad mail could be kept out of our inboxes. While browsing here and there, I checked out Protron Mail. It is run out of Switzerland, where they have the most strict laws about spam and junk mail.
Note: I'm not recommending it, just saying it might be worth a trial.
Just one email account with 1GB of storage space is free. If you want more there are charges. I didn't think I had the time, but I believe I would like to try that one out.
Another one that made me curious was called something like Freemail. But now when I try to find it again, I see all kinds of warnings that it is mainly used by spammers. So will not recommend it at all. Just a warning...beware!
Maybe... when you get spam, and you recognize it as such look to see if it comes from a freemail address. That will confirm it to us.
