Speaking of miracles reminds me of another one that has me a bit excited.
Last year (I forget how many months ago), I mentioned to some friends that my camera was not working. A couple in church (in the leadership over the ESL class), gave me their little red Sony Cybershot. It came with some cords, a battery charger, etc.
I had trouble figuring out how to use this Sony. I stumbled into some right ways, and also downloaded a manual from online as a guide. But the worst was that even when I thought I had taken a few good photos I could not get the USB cord connect with my desktop to transfer the photos there for more polishing, etc.
The system I had on this desktop at that time did not recognize the format or camera model. Not at all.
I hesitated to tell my friends that their gift was no good as I think it was working well for them until they all switched to using their cell phones as cameras.
Sunday evening before this last one, I was trying again to take some good selfies to choose one for my business card. My last good photo was from 2017.
My old digital Kodak camera took a few fairly good ones, (as long as I took the batteries out after a few minutes) but as it is heavier, most of them turned out blurry. So I tried some with the Sony camera. Because it got late it wasn't until this past Sunday evening that I got to transferring them to this desktop.
Only one from the Kodak camera is worth considering.
Because of the miracle last Tuesday, I plugged in the USB cord of the red Sony - just in case, and voila! it connected with the current desktop system! I quickly moved them to the hard drive. When I took a closer look, I saw that the photos were much sharper, and because towards the end I had pressed a button that was to add more light, the last 6-8 of them have no shadows on my face. Wow!I'm now determined to study up on the Sony camera and learn to use it to its full potential!
This is the time of year when the mosquitos are on the warpath; they want to suck our blood!
Have you ever asked why they seek out you in particular? It has to do with whether you take drugs, Rx or otherwise, fairly often. They can tell!
I got bit on Saturday, when I spent extra hours to finish up my front flower beds.
So yesterday,I checked online to see what home remedies help to deal with itchy insect bites.
Do you have any of these handy at home? Aloe vera gel, vinegar, ice, toothpaste (mint-flavor works best), baking soda moistened with water, or Calamine lotion. (the pink stuff).
