Whether we have dreaded winter, or looked forward to it, it has arrived over-night. Ready or not! Winter is here now!
I'm glad that I got my garden and hard all cleaned in time. I've begun my indoor deep-clean just one corner of a room at a time.
However, there will be the snow shovelling to do. I do not mind too much when it is still light and fluffy, but heavy, deep snow is a great trial.
I just try not to complain too much because that makes it a whole lot harder. Whining does not decrease the burden.
When the sun comes out I'll feel more energetic again, but now now I'm more inclined to feel sad and tired, and like I've lost something.
It is too easy to put my head down and let my mind wander, or just shut down and insist on more sleep.
Ah! But I do have another resource; it's available to you also! We can pray and ask the LORD to come & inspire us and give us a special joy for the things we have to do today. Yah! Even enthusiasm!
And you? Does the weather influence your sense of well-being, or your mood? Have you developed a good coping plan? Feel free to share it.
