We are seven days into our new year; is that enough time to determine if you are going to get along well with the new year as part of your daily clothing or activities?
A new outfit sometimes feels 'strange' on us until we get used to it. But then some folks are so eager for the new year to begin they plunge into the newness with gusto.
I had decided to spend the last full week in December in what I called my Prayer & Planning week, because I had so many projects waiting for me, that I needed to work out a schedule of some sort to get these big projects out of my way, and then create a schedule so that I could keep up with my workloads through the coming year without dropping behind anywhere.
That first week went fairly well, and I was in a good mood until that week that was part December and part January. I came down with a flu bug and with it an exhausting cough. I found myself curling up for naps, and my planning blocks of time slipped away on me.
When I heard that some people at church had come down with covid... I decided I should check, because if I had it I didn't want to pass it around to others at church.
I headed for the drugstore, expecting they would give me a test there, but no, I had to buy a kit and give myself the covid test. It turned out positive!
So I stayed home from church, and tried to deal with my coughing by myself. - And here I am still barking like a seal!
I have plans to go out this afternoon to buy more covid test kits to see if I still have it or is it licked.
I sincerely hope you are NOT dealing with any flu virus, or covid symptoms. My sympathies if you do!
Take a sick leave break, and allow time to recover.
