My Friends are my RoseBouquet

At My Place: A Domain to Give Away

The first internet friend I made when I started to go online in about 1998 was Connie in the state of Maryland, USA. We had an almost daily email exchange. (Because I was used to having several Pen Pals by mail, this was exciting to me! My first email Pen Pal).

I was learning how to build websites like a house -a-fire, to use a cliche, while Connie was writing and publishing a monthly ezine she called Angel Watch because she got excited whenever she found a story online about someone meeting an angel. (Yes, like the ones from Heaven.)

She had subscribers who would often send her Angel stories they had seen or found online Connie would often publish them in her ezine.

It didn't take too long to discover she was Catholic and I was Evangelical in our belief systems, but we didn't let that stop our friendship.

In 2009 she asked if I could help her set up a website for her AngelWatch stories. She did not think she could learn such a techie skill, but as we discussed this, Connie suggested that if I built it for her, I could use it too if I needed it, and if anything happened to her, it would just default to me.

When I asked what domain name she would like she suggested heavenlydaze. At that time .biz the newest extension and so the price for the domain was like .89 cents, which suited my tight budget.

When she didn't have enough angel sightings for an issue she would ask me to write one. I suggested that since I'd never seen one with my own eyes, I would write up the stories from the Bible where angels had a role. Connie was happy with that.

At one point Connie wrote she had a Jewish friend who'd written a booklet explaining how to understand the Jewish calendar. She asked if we could put them up on this site as a favor to her friend. I agreed.

But Connie was quite over-weight and had a heart condition. One day I got a letter by mail from her husband, Charlie, (who didn't have the courage to touch her computer for fear it would blow up), and he told me Connie had been taken to hospital a few days earlier and died there.

So.... now the website was all mine. I had done about 35 story/articles about angels scenes in the Bible, and I've since turned them into an ebook. But mainly I just kept the domain, after I put up a memorial page about Connie (at https://heavenlydaze.biz/Connie-Lepovsky.shtml) (copy/paste the link into a browser).

But I used the domain to create more email addresses as I needed more.

This saga continues under "What's New."
