Then, Whew! I can focus on some baking and deep-cleaning of my house. However, one of the older singles that I have invited over in the past wants to host our Christmas meal this year. It was only after I agreed (for I remembered how I felt run off my feet at Thanksgiving), he emailed and admitted that he had never roasted a turkey before! He wanted me to walk him through it by email.
I guess my shocked GASP! in the email scared him so that he's decided to roast a smaller one before Christmas - just for practice.
I've bought a turkey for myself (and a few housebound friends who appreciate a small meal in a container so they can just warm it in a microwave). I will roast it on Saturday, the 24th. I really enjoy cold turkey left-overs for the week after Christmas, so my turkey will be very useful. ...and if this batchelor friend ends up burning his turkey to a crisp, I may have to bring my leftovers to see that we all get some turkey after all on Christmas Day.
I would not be at all surprised if you have some interesting tales to tell about how you prepare for Christmas. Hey, I ALWAYS make time to read any email responses you want to send me.
Either this one ahead, or ones in the past that are stuck in your memories. (Hint-hint!)
Please email me to ask for it.
As I've done in the past, I could just upload it and give you the link. But I've been learning this year how hackers can find such PDF files, and will download them, then upload them to their own sites and pass them off, or even sell them as if they are all theirs. Yikes! The world is FULL of thieves!
By asking you to request my Christmas Letter, I can better tell how many subscribers do in fact read each issue and see this offer.
Also, I've designed a new business card. I plan to print out a batch today and laminate them. Since I can't tuck that into an email, you need to tell me if you would like my letter by snail mail. Then I will tuck this new card in for you. (Don't worry; I can afford the stamps now).
My one concern, is that I may soon have more ideas, and I may need some feedback as to how they go over. But maybe I can do that by emailing you extra images as they come along. That is... if you show some interest.
