See my Alley Sunflowers!

my alley Sunflowers in bloom!

I'm rather tickled at how well my sunflowers sown late in the summer in the back alley, are doing there in the all-day-sunshine. So, I'm showing you a couple of my latests snap-shots.

a close up of the biggest sunflowers

I'm telling myself that they can stay out there and grow until the first snow falls. Then I'll go cut them down and bring the flowers in so I can pick the seeds out of the heads.

The garden clean-up has been delayed several weeks now, so I'm hoping I can get it all finished up this week. The forecast is for snow in the northern parts of Saskatchewan, and that means it won't take long to show up here.

Remember my aloe vera plant sale from my front porch?

Well, I had my first buyer come via Kijiji this past Saturday. Then just this morning the friend who came by yesterday to pick up the Thanksgiving leftovers I had packed for him and his daughter, dropped by again to ask for some aloe vera plants. He didn't want to grow them, but wanted to get the gel out to eat for health reasons. So I pulled two plants out of their pots and wrapped the roots in paper towels, with instructions for how to scrap out the gel and mix it with juice in a blender.

Last week I found time to make some posters which I've laminated and I hope to go tack up on some power poles or trees at the intersections to my block, so that passersby will know about this sale too. I plan to only wait another week, maybe two, and then this sale will be over. If you are in driving distance try to come soon!

I have a chiro appointment tomorrow at noon, and a dental appointment for all of Thursday morning. But I will post signs on the front door when I'm away. And if I'm in the garden, to come hollar for me over the side gate or the back fence.

A Drug-free Remedy for Pain!

True! I'm an Associate for Voxx Life, which has come out with Super Patches. These are 2 x 2 inch squares that you can stick on your skin and the pattern that touches the nerves under your skin zips a message to the right part of your brain - to jog it to do it's job - which is to reduce your pain.

My one friend has been on pain-killers for years for her arthritis, but she was willing to try some sample Freedom Super-Patches. She was convinced! She phoned to order a whole package of 28 of them. Which I did. But when the samples I'd given her were gone, she phoned up desperate for more. Because Monday was a holiday, I knew they would not be in the mail until today or tomorrow, so I brought her the last of my samples of this kind.

I use them myself to greatly reduce the pain of my pinched nerve in my neck.

(There are 8 kinds of Super Patches, each with their own special abilities. For instances, the one called Rem - helps you to sleep like never before! The patch called Victory is very popular with athletes as it seems to give your extra surges of strength and power and stamina! (Good for others who feel tuckered out all the time too!) You can learn more about all these patches, at voxxlife.com You can order from there directly too, and I'll get a commission.

Voxx is now urging the Associates to give away a few free samples to friends, and it is amazing how excited they get when they see what they do for them. Usually in a matter of minutes.

I've long felt that I don't make a good sales person as I don't mingle much with people in the public, but I now have two friends that love the Freedom (pain) patches and they are telling others. One friend phoned on Saturday night to say there is a man in her building who is eager to try them out. I had to say that I have to wait for my order of samples to come in first! Hopefully in tomorrow's mail!

The friend most excited now keeps insisting there has to be a drug in that patch. I keep answering that, no, there is a pattern in that patch, which connects with the nerves under our skin, sending an instant message to the right part of our brain - reminding it to get on with it's job!

P.S. Due to relentless efforts to hack into the blog, I have deleted it and move my weekly posts to this Department on my novel's site, which is all about my Friends being my Roses or RoseBouquet, and has been from the beginning, in 2001.
