Do you recognize a routine here? I'm spending hours each day on the rebuilding of my old websites. This morning I'm working on my genealogy site which is named after the first family history book I wrote back in the 1980s to honour my Gr'ma Kroeker.
It's not a very big site. I did 38 pages last week, which turned out to be more than half of the total, 70 pages. I have only 26 pages left to do this week. But this quiet little site does bring me interesting emails sometimes from people who have found it and want to discuss how we might be related.
However, I discovered last week that the GEDCOMs, and the genealogy e-books that I offer for sale there are out of date, and the PayPal buttons need updating too, because PayPal has revised the coding for them. So right now my goal is to finish the webpages first this week, and then I will spend my time over the next two weeks to update the GEDCOMs and e-books, and also try to do up an abridged (condensed) version of that 4 lb book I wrote, printed on Getetners and and bound by hand in 1988. Then I will set up new PayPal buttons for these items, and they can start bringing in some cash!
I will NOT be offering my services for translating from the old Gothic German handwriting to English any more. I have become too rusty in my German, so I would have to look up almost every word, and I just do not have time in my busy daily and weekly agendas to take on such work.G
