Praying About a Hole in the Alley

You may recall that I had a wonderful thing happen when Sask Energy came to replace old Gas lines to my house and in the process were gracious enough to move the line going under my garden, and also to move the meter to the corner of the back of the house.

They did spend some time last week filling and smoothing the holes they had dug in the alley. However, when I wanted to go park my car in my tent/Garage again, one hole was not filled properly. It is about two feet deep, and more than two feet across, and exactly where I would drive over it whether driving into my gate and garage, or backing out. I can see that if I dare try it, I will get at least one wheel hung up in that hole and I'll have to call a tow truck to get out of there.

So I've continued to park on the street, in the front of my house, thinking they will be coming back to take care of that. No sign of them. (SIGH!) I hate to complain, especially when they did extra work for my gas line. So I've taken to praying about this.

If this touches your heart, I would ask that you join me in praying that they'll come fill up that hole properly - and that soon!

For Whom are my eBooks?

When you are trying to sell something, the marketing advice is to consider the demographic (group of people) that your product is intended for; consider what their need is when they start searching online for answers to their problem. (Obviously, my mind is still much on these e-books, eh?)

So last night I took a few minutes to make some preliminary notes as to who might want or need my e-books, Do you see yourself needing any of these four books?

A Godly Inheritance - is for those who want to meet my beloved Gr'ma and discover what makes a godly woman, and also to see how I cared for her those 9 months while we waited for the nursing home opening. Summary: This will appeal to those interested in family sagas and how to care for their Gr'ma (or parents) when they need personal care.

Our Neudorf Network - This would be mainly for Neudorfs, or those with Neudorf ancestors, especially if they are interested in looking for more Neudorf connections.

Grandpa's Stories - This book has stories from old-timers like my Dad and my Grandpa Friesen - also genealogies of all of Dad's ancestors as far back as I've found them, the furtherest is the DeVeer line that goes back 11 generations to a Jan DeVeer born in 1521. This book will be a treasure trove for earnest genealogy researchers.

Our Friesens & Assorted Friesens - ah, this big book of 622 pages is for those researching and stuck on Friesen genealogy connections. We can help each other out! I'm looking for the connection between my Dad's Friesens and my Mom's Friesen lines. I have collected 20 other Friesen lines, and you might spot someone from YOUR tree. I may just be able to hand you some valuable clues! By the same token if you share what you have collected, I may spot the connection between my parents' two Friesen Lines.

If you are impatient - browse around for the books on agodlyinheritance.com Otherwise, I'll be giving out links next week right here in the RoseBouquet.

P.S. Due to relentless efforts to hack into the blog, I have deleted it and move my weekly posts to this Department on my novel's site, which is all about my Friends being my Roses or RoseBouquet, and has been from the beginning, in 2001.
