But guess what; it is scheduled for 11:50 am. That means I will need to hustle to get the RoseBouquet out a little sooner if possible. If that doesn't happen - watch for it in the afternoon.
Last week I went to see a chiropractor about my achy left elbow and my knots in my neck. Turns out he is keen on accupuncture. I agreed to let him try it on me, which was a first for me.
But after one treatment on Monday and one on Friday, I can't say I'm that impressed. It didn't hurt much at all, and after sitting and waiting quietly for 20-30 minutes, I got so that I didn't even notice these hair-thin needles up and down my left arm and in my neck, but I can't say they did any miracles for me.
Then I looked at my receipts, and saw how much they cost! Yikkes! I won't need any more of those! I'll study my herbal books for other remedies I can make myself and drink as teas.
I can also pray, and ask for miracles.
The word "friends" has grown to have many meanings, and not all are the best kind of friends. Think carefully about the kind of friends you want to gather for your Bouquet of Roses.
The Bible advises in Proverbs that if you want friends you must first show youreself to be friendly.
Don't know what to talk about to make friends witih strangers?
Well, apply that Biblical advice and see if you don't get loyal "Friends" who will love and respect you.
But HOW do I SHOW MYSELF FRIENDLY?
Easy. Forget all about yourself, and ask them questions to draw them out. Don't pump them like an interviewer. Just ask simple questions about what they may be experiencing or feeling. Show sympathy and real interest. Then they may volunteer more information, or if you ask another leading question, they will open up more and more.
Now. Make a mental note of the things they tell you. Think, what kind of little favour could you do for them to help them out? What little gift would be appropriate for their problems, and show them that you really heard them and YOU CARE!
They will be like stray puppies that will gladly follow you around waiting for more crumbs of kindness. If you nurture them, they will become mature and long-term loyal friends.
