eBooks Shop Yes, I managed to get the setup stage all done last week, and now need to start letting the world know that I have this store ready. I hope to work at that tomorrow evening.
As I wrote last week, I'm going to watch how well this little one-page checkout page is going to sell the ebooks. (Fortunately, there are links to go read more about each book on my site). If this goes well, I am seriously considering switching the diecastmodels site over to the Ecwid system.
Those items will have to be shipped, and I already know that to do so I will need to know the weight and the measurements of each item. So I tackled that work last evening. I didn't quite finish with all the Case and International Harvester models - but I hope to do so tonight, and then move on to the John Deere models that I had already researched, photographed and written up.
The great thing is that I can run their shopping cart from my website. I just have to put some code on the page I intend to use that way. (In this case that may be many such pages!)
However, I don't want to rush into this new idea until I can see for sure that it will work. Dismantling what I've got done so far, to impulsively start over in a new way, and then finding it's not going to work that way, just to go back to the slower way. Ouch!
For some decisions it pays to go cautiously and carefully. Right?
Instead, boil some water, and pour an inch or two of the hot water into a mug or glass bowl. Drop the reluctant gel pens into the hot water for about 15 minutes.
Now try them again. (They may need another hot dunk, or two).
See. There's a miracle you can perform!
P.S. And to think I threw out almost a whole pack of gel pens before I found this out! I thought I better help you save your pens.
