Back to Login Problems with my Shopping Cart Site

(BIG SIGH!) Well, I've spent some weeks checking out other options, and have concluded again that OpenCart has the best reputation, but it involved a tremendous learning curve. Each time I don't put in the perfect login info I'm locked out, and if I try a second time right away, I get a message to wait an hour before I try again.

I'd forgotten the password (tho' I thought I remembered it) that I had created last week.

I could get into the database, and after some efforts I found the place where I could find the password, but then when I tried again, I realize they were sending the link to reset the password to an email address that I had deleted due to spam.

So I recreated it again. Still, no go.

Maybe it was that other old email, that the hackers had found. So I recreated it too. I waited a couple of hours, but no reset email.

So I created a brand new email, and went back to the database to enter it there. By that time it was almost midnight and I didn't want to wait up until 1 am to try the login, so I will continue this game tonight. Hopefully, once I get in, I can start setting up my products soon!

My one encouragement in all this struggle is that as I've prayed about this, the Lord has reminded me several times of His promise in Luke 11:9-10.

"So I say to you; Ask and it will be given to you;
Knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives;
he who Seeks finds, and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."

A dear friend sent me this precious promise by email the other night;
"...the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end." (Isaiah 60:20b)

Sure! Claim it as well; It is for you too.

I signed up for this community back in 2015 when I started working from home, but I had promised to write a history book for Western Tract Mission, and that was a full-time job for two years of my life. Last week I signed up for a 5 day course on how to build sales funnels and to learn how to get people to sign up for whatever business offer I have. This course was free to me because I was a member.

Some of those training course sessions were at hours when I was busy with another commitment, but I could wait for the replay link and watch it at my own convenience. I now understand all about funnels and the thank you page that goes with it. I will be able to use this information over and over again as I work at selling my ebooks on my other sites.

I am still at the Starter level, but there two more levels, with more privileges at each, the Pro, and the Premium. However, I have yet to exhaust the resources and free video courses on many subjects related to marketing online. For instance, I've been wondering about learning to write good sales copy - ah-ha, there is a free two video course on that! Now to find/MAKE the time to study that. :)

I have also joined their free and Powerful MyLeadSystemPRO Affiliate Program. I'm not promoting it as hard as some others do - but those that do - they get PAID Thousands of Dollars per Month In Commissions... Even when others say "NO" to their other business. This is worth checking out! MLSP.com
