Whew! Our bitterly cold temperatures (eg. -35C with windchill factored in -49 or -50C) have disappeared while Winter's gone for a few days' break. I'm not sure if it caught some air currents going south to the USA's southern beaches, or if it hiked back up north to check on its Polar Bear playmates. But I'm rather glad to be left behind to manage my busy schedule at just -2 Celsius!
Although why my cursor has taken this same time to go wildly erratic and freeze or flitt here and there but anywhere than where I want click. It happened a few days ago, and it seemed the only way to cope is to shut down the computer by pressing the OFF button, wait a bit and then boot up again.
I've already switched mice several times. Just now the current one is cooperating, praise the LORD!
Oh yes, I should mention that last week Tuesday it was super cold and snowing. I had an appointment with my new chiropractor, and so as soon as I'd posted the RoseBouquet I bundled up and went out to shovel and sweep the snow out front (took 10 minutes), and then out back. That took longer as it was quite a bit deeper. I had to lift each shovel full of snow and throw it up on the ridges formed on both sides of the narrow sidewalk through the garden. That took much more physical effort.
But then when I got to the tent garage, I walked around the car to see how much snow was outside the gate. A small drift had blown in through the wire mesh gate, and then there was about 12 inches deep snow outside the gate for about 4-5 feet to the vehicle tracks that cars, etc., had made.
I stood looking at that and my heart sank. I was already exhausted and it might take me another hour to clear away all that snow outside the gate - as well as inside. I was panting and praying as I stood considering about going back inside and phoning to cancel my appointment.
Then suddenly Eugene came around the corner, with his shovel over his shoulder. He said Wayne was clearing the sidewalk at the front. In a couple of minutes Wayne came too. They urged me to go inside and warm up. They would take care of the snow outside my gate. I let Wayne take over my wider blue push-scoop, and I went into my house, greatly relieved and SURE God had brought them.
In ten minutes they were done and back at my front door, so I let them in, and we chatted a bit, and then I gave Eugene the other ebook he had asked and paid me to print for him. He had not finished reading the first one yet, but was excited to have "Grandpa's Stories" too now.
When they left I changed my clothes and got off to my appointment. But because of the blowing snow I decided against stopping for any quick shopping errands this time on the way home.
