Yes, I've been busy sending out my "End of Summer" letter espcially to the older, senior relatives and friends who enjoy my letters, especially the photos of my garden. I've worked over the body of the letter a number of Sunday evenings, but the last two Sundays I've been adding the personalized notes at the end of the letter, and preparing them to mail. I got 12 done this past Sunday - after my cousin left from her visit. I have about 6 more to finish up, and then my mailing is done.
I can upload a PDF edition that is rather generic, and you might find that I have covered things there that have appeared already in the RoseBouquet over the last month or so, but you are welcome to download the file to read.
Now if you decide you want to print it out, I must tell you that I've been doing this letter on six sides of 3 legal length sheets of paper. If you were to try to print it out on letter-sized sheets, it would come out in sections that leave some gaps and over-lap in other places. (I know this because I accidentally left some letter-sheets in the printer, and I saw what happened.)
I also suspect that if you try to read it on a cell/smart phone you will have to keep moving the letter from side to side and up and down to be able to read a few lines at a time.
As I said, this letter is especially intended for some dear elderly friends and relatives, who are thrilled to see photos of my garden, and find out what I've been doing, but they do not have emails or computers. It is for their sake that I take the time to create this kind of "End of the Summer" letter.
If you are interested in reading shorter pieces from me each week, about what is happening at my place, or what I'm up to - and if you have email, or can to read it in a web-browser, then you want to subscribe to the ezine edition, or if you have a Feed-Reader, you can enter an xml link to it and that will allow you to click links and see the short articles on my website.
Or, you could just bookmark that particular URL and then remember to go visit that link every Tuesday about noon or later. :)
Oh yes, for those who want to read my "End of Summer" letter - you need to go see this link: End of Summer Letter (2021) You may read it right there in your browser window. Or click the download button which is usually in the upper right side of the black frame.
