My Upside-Down Tuesday

Yes, I'm smirking and giggling as I write that; today has been my upside-down Tuesday. Have you ever had a day like this?

Normally, I know what day of the week it is from when I'm waking up in the morning, or at least by the time I'm ready to get dressed. I did remember that today was Tuesday, one of my bath mornings, and had one before I got dressed, but somehow I forgot it all the rest of the day until this evening. How come?

I'm still puzzling on that question.

Once I'd been to the kitchen for my morning supplements and mug of hot water (with a bit of honey) I came to the computer for my devotional time. One of the first things I discuss with the Lord, not too far into that time, is the day's agenda.

It was forecast to rain and snow today, but I was all done with my garden clean-up except to bring in the garden hose, coil it up and put it into a wooden box and take downstairs. I was rejoicing that yesterday I'd got the last raking and sweeping done, and so I hoped this little chore would not take me long and finally - at last - I could shift my agendas to focus on my business hours and get caught up on those agendas rather than the outdoor chores.

Oh, and I had discovered last night, as I was locking up the front doors, that someone had thrown a stone into the front porch windows, so I was reminding myself that instead of brewing and stewing about that, I should just plan on taping up that hole until I could figure out how to get that pane of glass replaced. But then most importantly, I must remember to forgive and to pray for whoever did that vandalism. (By the way, I have not got to the taping yet).

Normally, I put the RoseBouquet right at the top of the agenda, right after breakfast, but I guess these two items filled my mind so that it completely escaped me: Tuesday morning is for writing and publishing the RoseBouquet in 3 ways!

While eating breakfast on my feet, I often take a minute or two to tidy up this or that, and I went out to see if I could coil up the garden hose quickly. Nope. It had got too cold at night and did NOT want to coil. So at noon, I decided to drag it into the house so it would not get wet in the rain and snow, and let it warm up. Later in the afternoon I was able to get it coiled, and put into the orange wooden box I've used before, and drag it thump-thump down the stairs.

Somehow I've been feeling extra tired of late, and so I had to have an afternoon nap. When I woke at 5 pm I realized I'd missed my email time in the afternoon. Oh-no. Well, I'd do that before I took on my evening agenda work. It was while I was answering some emails that it hit me. Today is Tuesday - And I didn't write my RoseBouquet!! GASP!!

Well, after a bit of prayer to sort out my options, I decided to bump tonight's schedule to get it done tonight after all.

P.S. Incidentally, if you got two issues of the RoseBouquet by email last week, it was because one friend wrote that when she opened my RoseBouquet email- it was incomplete. Not all there! I couldn't find any evidence that this happened for everyone, but just to be safe, I sent it out again. Hopefully, you know you can delete them once you've read one, but do feel free to notify me if you see problems with any issue.

P.S. Due to relentless efforts to hack into the blog, I have deleted it and move my weekly posts to this Department on my novel's site, which is all about my Friends being my Roses or RoseBouquet, and has been from the beginning, in 2001.
