My 4th Book Nearly Ready

I've made considerable progress in the past week. My 4th book is nearly ready. I printed the first half of it yesterday, and will finish that this afternoon. This e-book is well over 600 pages, so I will need to dash out to buy larger cerlox combs to get the binding done. Then I will take photos of the four. (Oh, wait! Did I promise you those photos for today? Okay...I'll see...)

I did get some serious tidying up done downstairs last week, and managed to put up two hooks for one of my 3 extra long curtain rods. I even sewed up a backdrop with a large piece of unholstry material, so I could hang it on the curtain rod.

As for the other corners, I realized that I needed Gary to come fix some appropriate wood blocks so I could attach the hooks for the other drapery rods. I called him and he showed up shortly after lunch, but seemed to be under the impression that I was dealing with some dumb ideas. He also had to get back to his job where he was to babysit a fresh cementing project for 4 hours until it hardened.

Then he showed up unexpectedly on Friday, and suddenly he had a new attitude of wanting to help me with my video studio plans. He even went out to buy some 2x4s and attached pieces to the rafters of the basement, then connected a longer 2x4 to those, and even attached the hooks that I'd got at the ReStore (Habitat for Humanity left-overs).

So now I'm up to the tricky stage of learning to produce good videos. I still haven't got the hang of using my cell phone for this, but my instamatic Kodak camera can do short vidoes - it just has poor audio abilities.

A Godly Inheritance -my copy printed & bound

I was hoping to take videos of the stages of printing and then binding a sample copy of each of my e-books. I got three done by the weekend, but no good videos.

Yesterday I was about to print the 4th book, which is over 600 pages, when I discovered that this one did not have proper page numbers. So I fussed with that all morning, and got the page numbers to show up by noon. I printed up nearly 300 pages last night before I had to get to some other work that is scheduled for Monday nights.

Grandpa's Stories - printed and bound.

I will finish that printing this afternoon - and, try again to video this step. Then I will need to dash out to buy larger cerlox combs once I see how thick this book will be. (Maybe 2 inches thick?) Then I'll go through the binding steps and hopefully get some good video footage.

Tomorrow I start work on the sales pages on my website!

P.S. Due to relentless efforts to hack into the blog, I have deleted it and move my weekly posts to this Department on my novel's site, which is all about my Friends being my Roses or RoseBouquet, and has been from the beginning, in 2001.
