Finishing Old Business for Tom

I had in mind to go around taking photos of the irises in bloom. Here one - there are two - but not nearly all yet. So I'll take photos as I get a chance and put that off another week.

I've been informed by Tom's lawyer's office, that I need to send in one more form to the government. I have dutifully downloaded that document and I see that I must attach copies of a number of other documents to prove that his account with them is all finished for good. So I've been bustling about here, trying to find all those documents.

Some documents had already been scanned and saved to my computer, so I've printed those out.

Crazy thing is that I was sure I'd put everything into one medium-sized plastic bin. Now I seem to have mislaid the last enevelop or two of documents. I don't have time to tidy up and re-organize all my filing right NOW, so I've decide to pray about it, and pause to get this RoseBouquet out and deal with the hunt later.

What does it do to you, when you think you have your day all planned out to be very productive with the things YOU want to get done, and then an urgent request comes in - and you are expected - (or so it seems) to drop everything and deal with this particular request?

Yes, it sure tries our patience!

I can report that yesterday afternoon I finished that one genealogy e-book which has taken me so many weeks to do. I am greatly relieved. The first edition in 2005 was about 200 pages. This one is almost 600 pages!

I may want to add a few notes or explanations in an Appendix page later, but I am looking forward to starting on the Grandpa's Stories e-book today, and finding out just how big and time-consuming that might be.

Then, I'm still trying to get some weeding and seeding done outside. I started on the front flowerbeds on Saturday, and yesterday got the sides of the path/sidewalk to the door done, but there is more to cover. I hope to sow a number of prennials in these beds, so that in the future I may only need to do weeding and watering. and just enjoy the flowers that come up all by themselves each spring.

We are having another heat wave so the last two days I wanted to go out just before sundown to water my garden, but I got busy at the computer and forgot. So this morning I went out at 7 am and watered the garden in the morning cool. Sometimes I have to make sacrifices at one end of the day, or the other!

P.S. Due to relentless efforts to hack into the blog, I have deleted it and move my weekly posts to this Department on my novel's site, which is all about my Friends being my Roses or RoseBouquet, and has been from the beginning, in 2001.
