A Surprise Photo for You Next Week

I've been invited to a baby shower this Saturday. (I haven't been to one in eons!)

I used to make stuff animals when I went to such showers back in my years in London, Ontario. I still treasure one compliment I got when I was sitting in a living room full of women and the young mother-to-be came in. As soon as she spied me, she cried out, "Oh Goodie! Ruth is here; I'm going get a ......!" Oops! I nearly gave away the surprise!

It is not quite finished, but it would not be correct or wise, to show it off before the shower. So you will need to be subscribed to see that photo next week.

Good to the Last Drop

Do you ever find yourself near the end of a squeezable tube of creme, or whatever, and you can't get at the bit that is just under the cap?

Well I devised a way some years ago, but I've never seen or heard anyone else doing this, so I've decided to pass along this idea.

First, look for a larger empty prescription bottle wide-enough to put the cap end of the tube in it. Then cut off the longer, flat end with a scissor. Cut it in such a way that the cap end will fit into the bottle.

I take time with a finger to swipe the creme that is still in the flat end of the tube and put it into the cap end. Then it is okay to throw away the flat/tail end of the tube. Put the cap on the prescription bottle and keep it in the usual place for use until you have used up the last drop.

Then start on a new tube.
