Feedback from One Subscriber

Last week I asked for feedback on how the RoseBouquet comes to you and which method you prefer. Well, one friend did respond, and she liked the first issue from MailerLite which was in plain text. Athough a link made you go online (to a browser) to read it.

Personally, I didn't mind the mauve background they added to the issue of last week, but I still think the old way of plain text that arrives in the email so you don't have to take a second step to get to read it is my preferred way.

I'm still open to more feedback, but I may have to shop around for another mailing list server where plain text IN the email is a real option.

Oh-oh! My 30 day free trial period is over in 16 days. I better get on it lickety-split. Unless others can persuade me that you are content with either of the last two options. MailerLite seems to be super cautious with security - which is a good thing. But not the only matter to consider.

What An Apple a Day Can Do

You've heard the old proverb, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away," right? Have you ever tried it?

Well I have for several months now, and I can tell you what it has done for me. Though I can't guarantee you will get the same results, you may just want to try it as well.

I often find myself somewhat hungry when I first get dressed in the morning, but it has been a long-held habit of mine, not to have breakfast until I've finished my prayer time - which sometimes takes two to three hours.

So I decided to allow myself just a small apple at the start of my devotional time. This tides me through until I'm ready to have my usual breakfast.

An odd thing started to happen. The apple triggered an emptying of my bowel, while filing me so that I didn't feel starved at all. I usually step on the scales every other morning after my early bath. I also record my weight so I can see when it goes up and down.

Many times I've smiled to myself, as I notice that I am losing about one pound, sometimes two, each week. Since I am not exercising in any extra way besides house work or sweeping the paths of snow, and I'm not taking anything else to reduce weight, I have concluded that an early morning apple is all it takes to shed some pounds. Maybe another raw fruit would work too, I haven't experimented with that idea, but apples are generally the cheapest fruit in the stores, and I now make sure I have enough for each day of the week.

P.S. Due to relentless efforts to hack into the blog, I have deleted it and move my weekly posts to this Department on my novel's site, which is all about my Friends being my Roses or RoseBouquet, and has been from the beginning, in 2001.
