You can have links to your web site, or other money-making sites inside your eBook and then, as your friends give away copies to their friends, you'll get traffic to your site you NEVER would reach otherwise. Naturally, you'll want to build a really good web site that holds people's interest and gets them joining your subscriber list, or buying other books from you.

You can also start up an affiliate program, and give commissions to those who are go-getters and really drive in the buyers to your sales page. Now that's when the Big Bucks start rolling in, I hear tell! (To be totally truthful, there are things to learn under each step. This is a simplified list).


How your manuscript is turned into an eBook:

1. You WRITE your book.

If you haven't written your book, you'll need to do that first, obviously. :) By the way, I know how easy it is to be blind to my own mistakes, when I'm working so closely with my own words, so if you need a proof-reader or editor, I have a friend or two I can recommend who offer that service).

2. You arrange your book on web pages.

(sigh!) I AM a very busy woman with lots to do, but if you don't know how to put your book on web pages, and can't find anyone else, you may be able to twist my arm to do it for you. But I charge $20 an hour for this service, ABOVE the Compiling fee. Depending on the size of your book, setting it up on web pages can take from 5 or 6 hours, to 20 or more. So if you're on a very tight budget, you might prefer to find your own web master for this stage.

Note: Web pages for eBooks can be very plain, and do not call for the most advanced webmaster skills. Simplicity is better. But remember, all your graphics for the web pages must be in the same folder as the web pages of your book, and all the links to them must indicate this.

3. You email me your web pages and graphics (or manuscript)

I put them all in a new folder on my computer, and check them over to make sure everything is in order. If not, I'll be corresponding with you over a day or two, to get things right.

4. I Compile your eBook with my software, Activ E-Book Compiler.

In my Compiler, I fill in the necessary information about your book, tell it where the pages and pictures are, and voila, it goes to work. I send you an email to tell you it is ready, with a reminder for the $20 Compiling fee, and as soon as I receive confirmation of payment,

5. I send it to you as an Attachment, or tell you where to download it from my site

6. You start Your Promotional Campaign!

Exactly what you get with this eBook Compiling Service;

I provide you with an executable file, which means you have an eBook that comes with, and opens its own browser for reading when you click on the file. You do not need anything else to read it. However, it is only going to work on PC or Windows based operating systems. People with only a Mac computer cannot open it.

Happily though, the majority of people have a PC computer, and most will prefer this type of eBook.

There are other kinds of eBooks, the next most popular one can be read on both types of computers. It is called a PDF eBook. For this the reader needs to have the Acrobat Reader software program on their computer. Otherwise they cannot read it. The Acrobat Reader is free to download from that company's site.
