Although I haven't heard Vickey Banks as a public speaker myself, the warmth and her vivid imagination as she writes in this book, makes it easy to believe that she is as dynamic as others report.

In Sharing His Secrets, Banks studies nine different women who had personal encounters with Jesus, and draws applications to the relationship that women today may have with our Lord.

From the woman at the well, running on empty, we learn that Jesus invites us to an intimate and fulfilling relationship that will satisfy. From the bleeding woman, we discover that Jesus wants to give us His undivided attention.

The Syrophoenician mother was a Mom on a Mission. Banks uses her to point out that Jesus really admires persistent praying women.

Besides the widow of Nain, the adulterous woman, the sisters Mary and Martha, there was the sinful anointer, the crippled woman, and Mary Magdalene. All of these point to various aspects of the intimacy we are invited to find in Christ.

Each chapter ends with a prayer and discussion questions, making this a good choice for a small study group.
