These photos are from the second film which I only got from Dad on Sunday afternoon. First off, we headed up the street to the school play grounds, which we had to ourselves.


This slide was just right for her, and Elise eagerly made several trips down.


Here's a close up.


Elise had seen me try out the swing the day before, and now she wanted up on one. Jalise stood by to keep a close watch on her safety.


Somehow the camera picked up the sun's rays in a way to make rainbows around this picture. They were so bright I cropped most of them out.


We have no baby stroller at our house but I had commandeered Dad's walker, which he seldom uses, and it kept our busy little girl from darting out into the street to pick up gravel.

So then we tried nap time. It just doesn't take Elise as long to recharge her batteries as us older folks :)

Jalise and I had picked all the apples off the tree in the garden the day before, and as I complained they were too sour, Jalise suggested they were cooking apples and would be fine in a pie or crumb cake.


Elise was a willing helper, but couldn't resist tasting each one to make sure they were sour!

I also made one of my blender fruit drinks for supper, using frozen raspberries, among others.


Between us, Elise and I got some red stains on our clothes, but yum, was that delicious! (As was the Apple Crisp, by the way).

After supper and dishes were cleaned up, Elise and I played tag and Hide n' Seek around and between several rooms. I was the one who had to collapse in exhaustion first! She kept chasing me and shreiking with glee!


I had the honour of giving her several bubble baths during their stay. What a water-baby!


Then, once in her sleeper outfit, another quick game of "Hey, I see you!"


At last it was time for me to give her a good night kiss.

It still took her quite a while to wind down and be able to fall asleep. (Poor Jalise).

The next day we took them to visit Jalise's other grandparents, and then on to her aunt Phyllis' in Saskatoon.
